Dear Friend:

On behalf of the team at Second Table Ministries, I want to wish you both a Merry Christmas and God’s richest blessing in the new year ahead.

Because your friendship is important to all of us at STM — and we know you are genuinely interested in seeing lives in South Africa transformed — I want to quickly report on what has been accomplished this year through your prayers and financial gifts.

Clearly the two most significant projects were construction of the Heilbron and Klipkop community center/churches. These buildings are already having significant impact on the communities they serve as they become centers for outreach and help.
The new Klipkop center is already visible on Google Earth.  Note how that two-story church/center stands out between these two settlements.  It’s hard to believe that there are over 300 shack homes with over 1,500 people in the poverty-stricken settlement to the left of the building.

Hand washing training at the new Heilbron community center/church complex.

There have been a number of other smaller activities such as helping Pastor Brad Stoffels at Aliwal North jump start his Gtm (“God’s team of motivators”) monthly service program to neighboring poor churches, and supporting Pastor Mike Betha’s Maranatha Groenpunt prison ministry.

We will continue to be open to whatever opportunities arise in 2014 and hope to identify a significant project or two during our February visit.

These crucial outcomes would certainly not have happened without the support of friends and partners like you.

We appreciate you, and ask for your continued partnership as we begin a new year of opportunity and service.

Thank you again!
