Just a quick note … We left Gomo Gomo yesterday morning – had good animal sightings – even saw Cheetah, which we haven’t seen since 1998. The area where Gomo Gomo is located is very dry…although the dam in front is all dried up. Very hard to see that, although about 10 k away there has been plenty of rainfall.

I’m still suffering with whatever I’ve got but Patty brought some antibiotics along so I’m now taking those. Hopefully she or Joel won’t need them later. Wendell seems to be getting better each day.

We arrived in Mookgophong yesterday at 5 pm. Driving through Limpopo which we’ve never done before. It is beautiful. We drove through the Drakensburg Mountains – didn’t expect that – thought it would be flat in this area. Got situated in our guest house and then went to the Saturday eve. service at Oasis of Hope, where Joel led worship with music. It was crazy but fun. Everybody was so excited to meet “the Americans.” This morning Joel will preach and Patty will present the children’s message – both through an interpreter. Thankfully the weather has cooled – it was quite hot at Aliwal North and Gomo Gomo. I understand there has been some nice weather at home. Hopefully there won’t be a surprise cold snap later on …

Sorry this is so brief but I’m not in charge of communications on this trip, which has been nice, but it also means I’m not as plugged in to sending emails home.
