Dear Friend of Second Table Ministries,

Merry Christmas!

I’m posting this in this season of generosity to ask if you’ll consider a year-end gift to Second Table Ministries.

When you give, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we work with across South Africa – especially those for whom poverty, hunger, joblessness, physical disability and lack of opportunity make survival a daily struggle.

In recent months, for example, we’ve begun a new relationship with a wonderful, dedicated and capable South African couple in Mookgophong township. We’re partnering with them on the launch of a church daycare center that will provide physical, intellectual and spiritual nurture for young children. Such care has both immediate and long-term benefit, helping diminish the ravages of poverty.

Your support will make this kind of truly transformational community project possible.

What you and other faithful friends can send before the end of the year will equip poor South Africans to help themselves by relieving hunger . . . strengthening families . . . improving education . . . and providing economic opportunity.

I realize that you may have received an STM Christmas greeting in the mail. But I wanted to be sure we had a chance to connect before year’s end.

Thank you for considering a gift before the close of 2015. Together, we’ll be able to accomplish so much for those in great need.

Again, Merry Christmas. And God bless you!

Wendell Verduin

P.S.   With the current exchange rate, your dollar will go a long way in South Africa. And because STM principals cover all overhead, every penny of your tax-deductible gift will go to help those in need.
